As I have mentioned before, my Sisters best friend is having several hen nights leading up to her wedding. This post is all about our glamorous camping trip.
We booked to stay at Baxby Manor Hideaway and these super cute bell tents were our homes for the weekend.
The tents were a lot bigger than they looked on the outside, it was like some kind of Dr Who Tardis! Each tent was filled with cute bunting and comfy seats and sofas (which turned into beds) with throws and cushions and lanterns.
My Sister had made lots of little activities for us to do over the weekend, we had wedding pictionary and mould a groom. There were also some glamping rules, anyone who swore would have to stand on one leg for a minute and anyone who mentioned the grooms name had to do an animal impression.
I would definitely go back to Baxby Manor for a weekend of glamping. Its especially nice for anyone who is not really into camping as the shower unit is lovely and there are power points for hair dryers and straighteners.
My younger Sister Amy has a best friend, also called Amy. They started school on the same day and have been best friends ever since. As things can get very confusing when both Amy’s are together they often get referred to as Amy 1 and Amy 2 or Thing 1 and Thing 2 (My Sister being Amy 1).
On Christmas Eve 2011 they both got engaged, cue lots of screaming and crying!
Amy 2 will be will be getting married this year and instead of having one big hen night she has had lots of small hen nights. I thought I would write about a couple of these and maybe someone else can take inspiration for a hen party they are organising.
Our Screen One movie night involved some scrumptious cinema food and lots of wedding chick flicks.
I was lucky enough to go to the Wireless festival a couple of weekends ago and it was amazing. I must admit, we were actually only there to see Jay Z and Justin, the rest of the day was just a bonus.
The weather was gorgeous, it was actually scorching and we had to keep finding a little bit of shade to cool down. I want to go back again……..RIGHT NOW!
I am most definitely not a beauty blogger, nor will I ever be a beauty blogger, for a start I only own one foundation and one lipstick and I can hold the nail varnishes I own in one hand!
I would say I have pretty sensitive skin and struggled for years trying to find a product that worked for me. I was introduced to Elemis several years ago when I went to a local beauty salon for a facial and I have been hooked ever since. I thought I would tell you about a few of my favourite products.
Skin Nourishing Milk Bath
As the name says this is a product to be used in the bath……I don’t! I use this as a body moisturiser. It’s one of those beauty products that smells good enough to eat and leaves your skin feeling super soft without feeling like you have a product on, there is no heavy feeling on your skin afterwards.
Tri Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash
I am not just saying this but this is THE BEST face wash I have ever used. If I had to pick then this would be my number one product. It leaves your skin felling really fresh after you use it. Its a brilliant wake me up in the morning.
Fruit Active Rejuvenating Mask
This is the mask that I use before going out or just before a special occasion. I am sure this face mask is magic! I have tried so many face masks before and not really noticed a difference once I have taken the mask off. This mask definitely makes your skin glow.
Over the years I have started to try more and more Elemis products which I have ended up falling in love with and then having to buy because I can’t live without them! I even have my Mum, Sister and Sister in Law hooked. My Niece who is only 4 years old will ask for some of Mama’s milk bath to put on! There are so many great Elemis products and they are definitely worth the price.
I normally buy my products online from Time To Spa, they have some great offers and delivery is always quick.
Is anyone else hooked to Elemis or do you have your own favourite skin care brands?
We have been to Florida several times as a group of adults, but in 2011 when Honey was nearly three we got to experience Disney with a clid. Everything was so much more magical 🙂
A couple of weeks ago we had a family meeting to plan to go back to the magical world of Disney next year, this family meeting actually turned into us making a booking for next year. I am sooooo excited, this time there will be two children.
For our family get together I decided to make some Mickey Mouse cupcakes. These are super easy to make. This is where I found the idea, How to cook that.
Are there any Disney fans reading this?
Does anyone have any other Disney baking ideas?
This weekend I took my Mum and Dad to Lea Gardens, near Matlock. The Rhododendrom Garden is such a beautiful place to visit. I won’t go on and on about how amazing it is as you can check out their website for all the details. I would however like to share a few of my pictures with you from the gardens.
Auntie Doreen, if you are reading this Mum said you would love it there! x

Way back in November last year I went on the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour with my Sister and Sister – In – Law. I have finally got round to sorting through some of my photos so I thought I would share a few of them with you.
Cupboard under the stairs
Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans
If you are a Harry Potter fan then the studio tour is a must, we enjoyed it that much that we are planning another visit!
My Mum has always been very creative, when both myself and my Sister were in dance shows she would always help out with making the costumes……I seem to remember lots of sequins! I also remember my Mum misplacing a needle and it being found by my Dad when he stood on it!
Anyway, for the past eight or so years my Mum has been scrapbooking. For those who do not know what scrapbooking is, its kind of a photo album/journal that has had a creative makeover. One day I would like to do a step by step guide of how to complete a scrapbook page but for now I will show you some examples of pages that my Mum has done.
This Tinkerbell page is made from a green glitter 12 x 12 page with a spread the magic die cut from Just A Memory. This page is such a simple but effective design.
This page is another simple design. The Dreams do come true embellishment was purchased from America and the diamantes that frame the picture are from Cratz Boutique.
This page shows a picture of my Neice Honey’s gorgeous glittery pumps. This page has alot more going on than the other two, the great thing is that you can put as much or as little on each page as you want.
My Mum has passed her scrapbooking addiction on to myself, my Sister, my Sister In Law and my Neice.
If anyone who reads this enjoys scrapbooking please let me know, its always good to hear about new places to get scrapbooking supplies from.
My Easter weekend looked a little something like this.
*New framed chalkboard. *Easter cupcakes decorated by my beautiful Niece Honey. I let her have a go at using a piping bag for the first time, not bad for a 4 year old :). *Table decorated for breakfast at my Brother and Sister In Laws. *Lindt bunnies. *Gorgeous flowers from my Mum and Dad. * My Easter card from Honey. *My Sister dressed up as the Easter Bunny and delivered Easter eggs in my Brother and Sister In Laws garden. Honey couldnt believe that the real Easter Bunny had been in her garden and she had actually seen him.
