Happy Birthday Dad

We decided that this year instead of buying birthday gifts for each other we would make them.

It was my Dads birthday yesterday and here is what I made him.  I always struggle with what to buy my Dad, he is so hard to buy for!

I think I am going to be spending many an hour on Pinterest looking for ideas for the rest of my family.

*My lovely Auntie Doreen has been over to visit from Australia.  I hate having to say goodbye to her, even if it is only until September.  *We took Honey to see Disney on ice, we had rink side seats and the show was amazing.  *My Brothers Birthday cake.  *Family meal at the 50s American Diner, the food here is amazing and the staff are super nice  The names of the burgers always make me smile, you can have an Elivs Presley, a Bobby Darin or a James Dean.  *My birthday cake.  *Lovely Birthday presents, personalised necklace and Everything Alice book  *Snow, Wellies, Snow angels and Snowman.

What my Christmas looked like

This Christmas has been one with ups and downs.  The downs were several hospital visits with my 92 year old Grandma, one of which involved her breaking her wrist!  My favourite up has to be the birth of  my nephew on the early hours of Boxing Day (he was not due until the 7th January).  His name is Beau and he is the most beautiful little boy I have ever seen 🙂

With Christmas being so hectic I didn’t get chance to do the post that I really wanted to do so I have a combined post which includes Christmas, my Sisters birthday and New Year.

Christmas 1Christmas 2

I had some lovely presents from Santa, here are a few of my favourites…..

Cath Kidstson wheeled suitcase

Cath Kidston Spot carry all bag (I got this in blue)

Green ipod nano named Elphaba (I am a big Wicked fan)

Red stag onesie from Top Shop – sorry I can’t find it on the Top Shop site

A ticket to see Lion King – or King Lion as my niece says!

Think of a wonderful thought Disney Couture bracelet from Zentosa

Once upon a time watch from asos – again I could no longer find this on their site

A class to learn how to make macaroons

A stag antler necklace which was at the top of my Christmas list from Ginger Pickle  -I can no longer find the item in the store but my Mum said that they were really helpful 🙂  There are some gorgeous items on their site and I will definitely be making another purchase from these.

We also celebrated my Sisters 26th Birthday with a Mexican themed night……I am still humming the Mexican hat song!

My parents had decided earlier in December that they would have a New Year fancy dress party.  I had such a good night.  The costumes, food and fireworks were all amazing.

Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday

Pony 1

I can’t believe my beautiful niece is nearly 4.  Her birthday is not until 17th December but she has had her party this weekend.  Her party theme was My Little Pony, I love that Honey is starting to play with toys that I used to play with when I was younger.

With this being her 4th birthday party it was only right that I made her a 4 tier cake!

After her princess castle cake and now a 4 tier My Little Pony cake I am going to struggle to top it when she turns 5! 🙂
